Recommend a Fruit or Vegetable for Testing

Galectin-3 inhibitors are common in a variety of natural foods. It is probably true that every edible fruit or plant has some level of natural galectin-3 inhibitors. However, both the amount and nature of these compounds differ markedly. We aim to find fruits and vegetables that have high levels of the most active galectin-3 inhibitors. We also plan to study how to best prepare these foods to get the most health benefit. 

After testing a variety of fruits and vegetables we can be more systematic in our screening - anticipating where best to look for these natural inhibitors.  We have developed specialized tests to do so.
